For sale is an good example of a rare, 1999 'Swiss Only' Submariner 16613. This is a neo-vintage, transitional Submariner. Swiss Only models like this were produced for only a year after Rolex transitioned from Tritium to Luminova, but before their dial lume material again to SuperLuminova, and then ChromaLight from 2000 onwards. This transition lasted a year during manufacturing. Rolex indicated this unique difference in the use of Luminova via the "Swiss" only text at the 6 o'clock marker on the dial. Meaning such examples of "Swiss Only" Rolex Submariners were produced for a very limited run, and have become highly collectible following their recent publicity on their rarity, their subsequent surge in value, and strong recognition of their investment-grade potential.
